How much apartment cleaning costs in Podgórze

There is one price list on both sides of the Vistula: you pay for the number of rooms, not for the district or the hours. The package covers the kitchen or an open-plan kitchen, the hallway and one bathroom; each further bathroom is +45 PLN. Many people in Podgórze book cleaning regularly, so next to the one-off price the table shows the price with a weekly subscription.

Up to three rooms, one person comes; for four and five rooms two of us come. You see the price in the booking before you confirm the slot. The minimum value of a visit is 120 PLN, and the amount from the configurator is a guide: we give the final price on site, before work starts.

Stare Podgórze, Zabłocie, Płaszów: what flats we clean

In Stare Podgórze, around Rynek Podgórski, Kalwaryjska, Limanowskiego and Rękawka, there are townhouses with wooden floors, high rooms and staircases without a lift. We carry the equipment up to any floor ourselves and wash the wood almost dry. Kitchens here are often closed and small, while the bathroom with old fittings collects limescale: the kitchen and bathroom take half of the visit.

In Zabłocie and along Powstańców Wielkopolskich newer blocks of flats dominate: a kitchen open to the living room, laminate or porcelain tiles, a glass shower cubicle, high-gloss fronts, large windows. The most work here is grease on the fronts and cooker hood, limescale on the cubicle glass and streaks. We clean an open-plan kitchen before the living room, so nothing falls onto the washed floor.

What apartment cleaning includes and what you book separately

• Rooms: vacuuming and washing floors, dusting shelves, windowsills, skirting boards and furniture, mirrors and glass surfaces, dry vacuuming of the sofa and armchairs.
• Kitchen: worktops, sink, hob and cooker front, cabinet fronts, table, outside surfaces of appliances.
• Bathroom: toilet, bathtub or shower cubicle, washbasin, tap, mirror, tiles around the washbasin, floor.
• Hallway, taking out the rubbish and new bin bags, airing, cobwebs.

Add-ons from the price list: oven 60 PLN, fridge 50 PLN, cooker hood 50 PLN, inside of kitchen cabinets 65 PLN, dishwasher 50 PLN, cat litter tray 20 PLN. A balcony or loggia is 35 PLN, a glass balustrade 20 PLN per panel. You add windows during the same visit priced by type, from 25 PLN per window, 10% cheaper than booked separately. Cleaning a sofa, mattress or rug is a separate service that you add to the same visit at a discount.

Dust after a developer finish is different work with its own price list: post-renovation cleaning. You book the regular package once the renovation is finished and the flat is already lived in.

Families by Park Bednarskiego and Kopiec Krakusa: cleaning weekly or every two weeks

With children and pets a flat gets messy faster, so regular cleaning every two weeks makes the most sense here: the visit is shorter than the first one, and the kitchen and bathroom have no time to build up limescale and grease. The subscription applies to standard cleaning, and the price drops from the second visit: monthly by 10%, every two weeks by 15%, weekly by 20%. Two rooms every two weeks cost 204 PLN per visit.

A manager sets up the subscription with you; you usually book the first visit on the website. The same person comes at the same time, so what you agreed the first time still applies. Saturday and Sunday have no surcharge: you can take the children to the park and come back to a clean flat. Pet hair on the sofa is collected with a turbo brush and a rubber glove as part of the package.

Moving house and rental flats

When moving out or before moving in, you choose the Move-in / move-out type: the package plus the inside of the oven, fridge and cabinets, the cooker hood and the microwave, two rooms for 490 PLN. A badly neglected flat, for example after a tenant, needs the Deep type: the same scope, an extra hour and two people, two rooms 820 PLN. Both are one-off jobs, with no subscription discount.

You do not need to be there: you leave the keys with a neighbour or in a lockbox, and after the cleaning you get a message that the flat is ready. If something was not done the way we agreed, report it within 7 days, ideally with a photo: we will come back and fix it free of charge.

Laminate, tiles, high gloss, wood: what we clean them with

• We wash laminate and vinyl panels with a well wrung-out mop: too much water gets into the joints and the panels swell.
• Porcelain tiles and other tiles we scrub along the grout with a brush; dark marks in the grout are usually dirt, not mould.
• High-gloss fronts we wipe with glass cleaner and a dry microfibre cloth: scrubbing leaves scratches that show against the light.
• A glass cubicle with limescale we wash first with an acid-based product, then with glass cleaner and a squeegee, so no streaks remain.
• Wooden floors in the townhouses of Stare Podgórze we wash with a pH-neutral wood cleaner, without steam.
