Stroller cleaning Krakow

Before first use, if the stroller comes from an older child, from friends or second-hand. It is not about invisible dirt but about what someone else left in the fabric: milk residue, dust, dust mites, sometimes pet hair. Cleaning with disinfection before a baby arrives is the most common booking in this category, and the car seat usually joins it because it travels in the same bundle.

After winter, especially if the stroller stood in a cellar, a storage room or a garage. Damp leaves a mustiness you only notice in the warmth, while sand and road salt from autumn walks sit in the seams and wear the fabric every time you fold it. Spring is when we clean the most strollers, so it pays to book a few days ahead.

Before selling and after the season. A clean stroller in the listing photo sells faster and for a better price than the same stroller with a juice shadow on the seat, and the cost of cleaning comes back in the asking price. After a season of sandpits and sun, cleaning with impregnation keeps the next stains on the surface, where a damp cloth lifts them, instead of letting them soak into the fibre.

A stroller is fabric a child has next to the face, puts in the mouth and sleeps on for hours a day, so the question about products matters more here than with a sofa. We use preparations free of chlorine, artificial dyes and fragrance compounds, close to neutral pH, the same ones we use on infant mattresses. The product breaks down the protein from milk and the grease from sunscreen, and the extraction machine rinses it out with the dirt — once dry, nothing is left in the fibre that a nose or a hand could detect.

The final disinfection is not chlorine or alcohol but a product that reduces bacteria and mites in the fabric within minutes and is inert to skin once dry. Dust mites are what most often triggers symptoms in allergic children: they live in the foam of the seat and the mattress pad, and extraction cleaning rinses them out together with what they feed on. If your child has an allergy, mention it when booking — we then skip impregnation and rinse for longer.

We do not promise a stroller that is 'sterile' after cleaning: that cannot be done in a home and no healthy child needs it. We promise fabric free of dirt, product residue and smell, that a child can sleep in the same evening once it is dry.

In most 3-in-1 travel systems the 0–13 kg car seat is part of the stroller and gets dirty faster than the seat unit: the baby lies in it after feeds, the liner and newborn insert soak up spit-up, and the straps absorb sweat and sunscreen. We clean it in the same visit for 60 zł, and together with the stroller it brings the order up to the minimum straight away. We take the car seat cover off only when the manufacturer allows it; otherwise we clean it on the shell, just like the stroller seat.

We do not wash car seat straps in water and would not advise anyone to: webbing that has been soaked and dried loses part of its strength, and this is the part that holds the child in a crash. We clean them with a damp brush and product, wipe them dry and check that the buckle clicks and releases as it did before. If the buckle is clogged with crumbs, we rinse it with warm water and nothing else — the only thing manufacturers allow.

In the same visit we also clean the carrier, the wrap, the stroller footmuff and the leg cover. Each of these is a separate price list line, so you pay only for what you bring out, not for a 'baby bundle' half of which you do not need.
