Home organising in Krakow: what the service is
Updated:
Home organising in Krakow means work in your flat, one zone at a time: a wardrobe, a walk-in, the kitchen, the bathroom, the hallway, a child's room, a home office or a cellar. We take everything out of the zone, sort it together with you into three groups, keep, donate and throw away, and then put back what stays so that everyday things are at hand and seasonal or rarely used ones are higher or further back. We do not shift the mess from one shelf to another or hide it in boxes.

You decide about your things. We suggest, ask the questions that make decisions easier and keep the pace, but we throw nothing away without your consent. That is why we ask you to be at home at least for the sorting stage; the rest we can do on our own. We use the containers, baskets and boxes you already have. If something is missing, we tell you which organisers are worth buying and in what sizes, but we do not sell them and we earn nothing on your purchases.
The service is booked most often by families with small children, whose toys and clothes grow faster than the wardrobes, people just before or just after a move, owners of flats after renovation, when everything goes back into the cupboards at once, and people who simply have no time or energy to tackle the walk-in themselves. We travel to every district of Krakow and to the neighbouring municipalities.

Home organising prices in Krakow
We charge per zone, not per hour. Every zone has a fixed price and a time norm we work within. The zone price assumes a typical amount of things; if on site there turn out to be clearly more, we agree the scope and the price with you before we start. Travel within Krakow is included and you pay after the job.
| Zone | Price | Our working time | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wardrobe or chest of drawers (up to 2 m) | 250 zł | 2–3 h | clothes, underwear, accessories; everyday things at hand height, seasonal ones higher |
| Walk-in or large wardrobe (over 2 m) | 450 zł | 3–5 h | clothes of several people, shoes, bags, bedding and towels |
| Kitchen (cabinets, pantry) | 400 zł | 3–4 h | dishes, pots, food supplies and spices, with a check of best-before dates |
| Bathroom (cabinets, shelves) | 180 zł | 1.5–2 h | cosmetics, towels, household chemicals, first-aid kit |
| Hallway (shoes, coats) | 200 zł | 1.5–2 h | shoes, coats, hats, bags, things for walks and for the car |
| Children's room (toys, clothes) | 380 zł | 3–4 h | toys, clothes, books and school things; a layout the child can keep up alone |
| Home office and papers | 280 zł | 2–3 h | papers, binders, cables, office supplies; we do not read the documents |
| Cellar, storage room or garage | 450 zł | 3–5 h | tools, seasonal equipment, preserves, boxes; no moving of heavy furniture |
| Inside cabinet cleaning (emptied) | 65 zł | during the visit | shelves, sides and doors of the cabinets in the zone being organised, before things go back |
| Wardrobe interior wash | 40 zł | during the visit | shelves, rails, drawers and doors of the empty wardrobe; things go back onto clean shelves |
| Donation / disposal haul-away | 60 zł | one trip | clothes and toys to charity collections, the rest to a waste collection point; one loaded passenger car |
| Upholstery and carpet cleaning in the same rooms | 10% cheaper | in the same visit | in the “Add upholstery cleaning” and “Add carpet cleaning” blocks below |
The price is fixed and you know it before booking. The time norms are for a typical zone: a wardrobe up to 2 metres, a kitchen in a block of flats, a hallway with one shoe cabinet. If on site there are clearly more things than the norm, for example a 6-metre wardrobe or a garage packed to the ceiling, we agree the scope and the price with you before we start, not afterwards. Every zone costs more than the minimum order of 120 zł, so you can book even a single bathroom. This is a one-off service, no subscription.
What home organising includes and what it does not
Included
- A short talk before the visit: what bothers you in this zone, who uses it, whether you can send photos
- Taking everything out of the chosen zone, not only what is on top
- Sorting together with you: keep, donate, throw away, plus one box for things you will decide about later
- A check of best-before dates in the kitchen and bathroom; expired items are set aside for your decision
- A layout plan: everyday things at hand height, seasonal higher, heavy lower, categories together
- Putting things back in the containers you already have, labelled if you like
- A list of organisers to buy, with sizes, if something is missing
- Things to donate and to throw away packed in bags and ready to take out
- A short walkthrough at the end: where everything is and how to keep it tidy day to day
Not included
- Buying organisers, containers and furniture; we advise what to buy but do not sell
- Carpentry and furniture assembly, including wardrobes, shelves and walk-in systems
- Moving heavy furniture and appliances: wardrobes, fridges, washing machines, sofas
- Interior design and room layout
- Removal of hazardous waste: paints, solvents, electronics, batteries, fluorescent tubes and medicines; we take only what can go to ordinary collection
- Reading, scanning or storing documents; we sort papers by type without looking at personal data
Things: what stays, what we donate, what we throw away
The same questions come up during sorting. Below is what we usually suggest for each group of things and where they end up. The last word is always yours.
| Kind of things | What we usually suggest | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Clothes worn in the last year | they stay; arranged by category and colour | at hand height or in the top drawer |
| Clothes in good condition, not worn for a long time | try on or donate; we never push | a clothing collection or someone close; with the haul-away we take them |
| Worn-out, stained clothes, odd socks | throw away or keep as rags | a bag for textile waste |
| Seasonal and occasional clothes | they stay, but higher up or in labelled boxes | top shelves, the space above the wardrobe, an under-bed container |
| Toys the child has outgrown | you decide together with the child | a toy collection or family; broken ones thrown away |
| Expired food and spices | we show you the dates, you decide | a waste bag; jars and tins to recycling |
| Expired medicines | set aside separately, we do not take them | the medicine bin at a pharmacy |
| Electronics, batteries, cables without devices | set aside separately, we do not take them | a selective waste collection point (PSZOK) or an electronics shop |
| Paints, chemicals, solvents | set aside separately, we do not take them | a selective waste collection point |
| Documents and letters | sorted by type, we do not read the content | binders; papers to destroy you set aside yourself |
| Keepsakes, gifts, things left by loved ones | no pressure; one box for later decisions | a labelled box in an accessible place |
With the haul-away we take one loaded passenger car of things that can go to ordinary collection: clothes and toys to charity collections, the rest to a waste collection point. We do not transport hazardous waste.
A typical amount of things: what the zone price covers
The zone price assumes a typical amount of things. If on site there turn out to be clearly more, we agree the scope and the price with you before we start. Below is what we mean by a typical zone and when we talk about the scope. Photos sent after our call let us settle this before we come.
| Zone | Covered by the zone price | We agree the scope before starting when |
|---|---|---|
| Wardrobe or chest of drawers (up to 2 m) | a wardrobe up to 2 metres wide or a chest of drawers with the things of one or two people | the wardrobe is wider and there are also bags and boxes of clothes next to it |
| Walk-in or large wardrobe (over 2 m) | a walk-in or built-in wardrobe up to about 4 metres with the household's things | the walk-in is 6 metres or more, or holds the things of a second flat |
| Kitchen (cabinets, pantry) | a kitchen in a flat: upper and lower cabinets, a pull-out or a small pantry | a large kitchen in a house with a separate pantry full of supplies and preserves |
| Bathroom (cabinets, shelves) | a cabinet under the basin, a tall unit, a few shelves | a second bathroom, or stocks of cosmetics and chemicals for years |
| Hallway (shoes, coats) | a wardrobe or shoe cabinet and hooks for the household | shoes and coats from several seasons in boxes, a built-in along the whole wall |
| Children's room (toys, clothes) | the room of one or two children | toys from several years in boxes, the things of several children in one room |
| Home office and papers | a desk, a bookcase or a cabinet with binders | a company archive, boxes of documents from many years |
| Cellar, storage room or garage | a storage cubicle, cellar or single garage you can walk into | a garage packed to the ceiling, a double garage, an attic on top |
When there are clearly more things, we tell you on site how much extra time it will take and what it will cost, and we start only with your consent. Without it the price from the booking does not change.
Organising with us, on your own or new built-in furniture
Three routes our Krakow clients take, compared honestly for a walk-in wardrobe with a typical amount of things.
| Criterion | Organising with CleanAI | On your own over a weekend | New built-ins or organisers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | 450 zł, fixed price | 0 zł if you buy no containers | from several hundred to several thousand zloty |
| Your time | sorting with us, about 1.5 hours | a whole weekend, often two | shopping, assembly, and then sorting anyway |
| Decisions about things | yours, with someone who asks the right questions and keeps the pace | yours, but it is easy to get stuck on every keepsake | none; the things just move into a new wardrobe |
| What happens to unneeded things | packed in bags, with the haul-away gone the same day | bags stand in the hallway for weeks | they stay, only in a new place |
| Washing the wardrobe inside | while it is empty, as an add-on for 40 zł | if you have the energy left | the new wardrobe is clean, the old things are not |
| Result after a month | a system that fits how you use the wardrobe, easy to keep up | depends on whether a system was created or just tidiness | more space, but the mess returns without a system |
When it is worth booking home organising
The most common moment is a change: a move, a renovation, a new baby, going back to work, two people moving in together with two sets of things. Before a move it pays to organise a week or two in advance, because every item you do not pack means fewer boxes and a shorter transport. After a move or a renovation, organising helps to set up the kitchen and wardrobes the way that will be convenient straight away, instead of unpacking boxes anywhere.
The second signal is everyday life: you look for the same things several times a week, you buy something a second time because you cannot find it, the wardrobe will not close and you cannot get through the hallway for shoes. In a child's room it is worth tidying up twice a year, before the birthday and before Christmas, when toys multiply and clothes become too small. The change of season in spring and autumn is a good moment for the wardrobe and the hallway.
Organising makes no sense when the zone cannot be emptied because a renovation is under way, or when the problem is a broken wardrobe rather than the things inside it: first a carpenter, then us. It is not a substitute for an interior designer either, if the layout of the whole room needs changing. We say so during the phone call, not after we arrive.
After organising: how to keep it tidy
- One in, one out: a new sweatshirt in the wardrobe means one old one to donate
- Everything has its place; if something cannot be put away, it is a sign to decide whether you need it
- Ten minutes a week, for example on Sunday evening, to put things back where they belong
- Keep one bag for donations in the hallway or wardrobe and empty it when it fills up
- Swap seasonal clothes twice a year: winter things up, summer things at hand, and the other way round
- In the kitchen put new supplies at the back and older ones at the front, then the dates take care of themselves
- Label containers by category, not by content, for example “cables and chargers” rather than “misc”
Home organising in Krakow: blocks of flats, tenement houses and family homes
Home organising in Krakow looks different depending on the flat. In new blocks in Ruczaj, Bronowice or Prądnik Biały storage space is usually short: one wardrobe in the hallway, a small kitchen, a storage cubicle in the basement. There the biggest difference comes from using the height and the wardrobe doors well. In tenement houses in Kazimierz, the Old Town and Podgórze there are high ceilings and deep recesses where things get lost for years; we arrange them so that whatever is deep inside is really rarely used.
In houses in Swoszowice, Wola Justowska or the municipalities around Krakow, most of the work is in the garage and the cellar, where everything that did not fit in the house ends up over the years. We organise the garage and cellar without moving heavy furniture and equipment: we sort, group tools, seasonal equipment and preserves, and what is to be thrown away we can take with the haul-away, as long as it is not hazardous waste.
We combine organising with other services in a single visit. An empty wardrobe and empty kitchen cabinets are the best moment to wash them, which is why the wardrobe interior wash and inside cabinet cleaning are add-ons to organising. If there is a sofa or a rug in the same rooms, you can add their cleaning in the “Add upholstery cleaning” and “Add carpet cleaning” blocks, 10% cheaper than as a separate order.
Organising a wardrobe, a walk-in and a kitchen: what we pay attention to
Wardrobe organising in Krakow starts with the question of who uses it and how. Everyday clothes go between hip and eye height, seasonal ones higher, rare and occasional ones highest or in boxes. T-shirts and jumpers are folded vertically in drawers so you can see them all at once, and things that crease are hung. Tidying a wardrobe is not only about today's result; the point is that something taken out in the morning goes back to the same place in the evening without thinking.
Walk-in wardrobe organising usually means the things of several people, shoes, bags, bedding and towels in one place. We divide the walk-in into zones by person and by frequency of use, and arrange bedding and towels in sets so you do not have to hunt for a matching pillowcase. With a walk-in over several metres or one holding the whole family's things the time norm may not be enough; in that case we say so before we start and agree the scope.
Kitchen organising starts with a check of best-before dates and a division into zones: cooking by the hob, preparation at the worktop, washing up and dishes by the sink, supplies in the pantry or a tall cabinet. We arrange pots and pans so you can take out one without lifting five. To us a professional organiser is someone who works with what you already have and suggests new containers only when something is really missing.
