Carpet cleaning in Kraków costs from 15 PLN per m² at CleanAI, and wool, shaggy and hand-woven rugs have their own rates. We clean by extraction on site, without taking anything away, with travel within Kraków and products included.
E.g. “3-seat sofa and a 6 m² rug” or “move-out cleaning, 2 rooms”
A living-room rug takes us under an hour of work, then it dries by the evening. You can book as early as tomorrow, weekdays 8:00–20:00, Saturdays and Sundays 8:00–16:00.
Set the area in the configurator above, pick a date and time, leave an address and phone number. You see the price at once. If you do not know the size, measure the long and short sides or send a photo to the AI calculator.
During working hours we call back to go over the details. We ask about the rug type, stains, pets, floor and parking. For fitted carpet we agree whether the room can be cleared of light furniture for a few hours.
We arrive in the agreed window with the machine, agents and water. We need a 230 V socket. The rug does not need to be rolled up or carried out and heavy furniture does not need moving: we clean around it and shift the light pieces ourselves.
We check the label or the pile itself: wool, polypropylene, polyamide, viscose. We test the agent on the edge, and on a kilim we check that the dye does not bleed. We tell you plainly which stains will go completely and which will only fade.
Thorough vacuuming on both sides, pre-spraying stains and traffic lanes, extraction of the whole surface in strips, a second pass on dirty areas, a rinse with clean water and moisture recovery. We groom the pile in one direction.
You inspect the result in good light. On site you pay in cash after the service; online in advance when you order: BLIK, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We put foil under furniture legs and leave a window ajar; you can walk on the rug after 3–6 hours, on a wool one ideally next morning.
Set the rug or carpet area, a date and extras. You see the price at once and pay after the job or right away online.

Cleaning a synthetic rug in Kraków costs 15 PLN/m² at CleanAI, a wool rug 19 PLN/m², a shaggy rug 21 PLN/m², and fitted carpet in a room 15 PLN/m². A typical 160×230 cm rug is about 3.7 m²; travel within Kraków and products are included, the minimum visit is 120 PLN, and you pay after the service.
Carpet cleaning in Krakow means hot-water extraction of rugs, runners and fitted carpets on site, in your flat, house or office. We do not roll the rug up and drive it to a plant: we arrive with a professional extraction machine, agents matched to the fibre and our own water, clean the rug where it lies and leave it to dry. A fitted carpet glued to the floor can only be cleaned this way, and a loose rug simply has no reason to travel.
Extraction works like this: the cleaning solution goes into the pile under low pressure, dissolves the dirt, and the machine pulls it straight back out together with the water. The rug ends up damp, not wet. This removes not only the stains you can see on top but also what a household vacuum leaves at the backing: sand, dust, dust mites, pet hair, the smell of animals and food. Wool gets lukewarm water and a pH-neutral agent, synthetics can take a stronger solution.
Our typical clients are families with small children who play on the rug, dog and cat owners, allergy sufferers, tenants handing a flat back and companies with carpet in an office, clinic or shop. We travel to every district of Krakow and to the neighbouring communes: Wieliczka, Skawina, Zielonki, Niepołomice, Zabierzów.
The rate per square metre depends on the fibre, because the fibre decides the agent, the water temperature, the number of passes and the drying time. We measure the rug itself, not the room. Travel within Krakow and cleaning agents are included; working times are indicative. Minimum order: 120 zł. You see the price before booking and pay after the job.
| What we clean | Price | Working time | Drying |
|---|---|---|---|
| Synthetic rug, short pile (e.g. 160×230 cm, 3.7 m²) | 15 zł/m² | 30–40 min | 3–5 h |
| Wool rug (e.g. 200×300 cm, 6 m²) | 19 zł/m² | 45–60 min | 6–12 h |
| Shaggy, long-pile rug | 21 zł/m² | 60 min | 8–12 h |
| Fitted carpet in a room, up to 50 m² | 15 zł/m² | 60–90 min | 4–8 h |
| Fitted carpet over 50 m² (offices, corridors) | 13 zł/m² | from 2 h | 4–6 h |
| Kilim, hand-woven or oriental rug | 35 zł/m² | 45–60 min | 6–12 h |
| Hallway runner (e.g. 80×300 cm, 2.4 m²) | 15 zł/m² | 20 min | 3–5 h |
| Children's rug, bathroom mat | 15 zł/m² | 15 min | 3–4 h |
Runners and small mats are charged by the fibre they are made of. Fringes are cleaned separately as an add-on from the price list. A sofa or armchair in the same visit: 165 zł for a 2-seater, 55 zł for an armchair, one travel charge. Viscose, silk and jute rugs are quoted from a photo, because they take dry cleaning only.
A carpet has more pile than upholstery, so a stain soaks in deeper, but it also tolerates stronger agents. Below are honest expectations depending on the age of the stain and the fibre.
| Type of stain | Success | What to watch |
|---|---|---|
| Sand, mud, shoe marks | high | The most common hallway dirt; goes after vacuuming and extraction, traffic lanes need a second pass |
| Coffee, tea | high | Fresh disappears completely; old on wool may leave a shadow |
| Red wine, juice | high to medium | Good on light synthetics, fruit dyes on wool like to stay |
| Dog or cat urine | medium | Soaks into the underlay; the smell goes with an enzyme neutraliser, old stains sometimes need a second treatment |
| Pet hair and smell | high | Hair comes out with a brush and vacuum, the smell goes with extraction |
| Grease, oil, food | high | Degreasing agent and an extra pass |
| Chewing gum, wax | high | Gum is frozen and crumbled, wax is warmed and lifted through paper |
| Blood | medium to high | Fresh goes with a cold solution; washed hot, it sets |
| Rust from furniture legs | medium | A separate rust remover; the mark usually fades but does not vanish |
| Ballpoint, ink, marker | low to medium | Depends on the ink, usually a shadow stays |
| Bleach, paint, burns | none | This is fibre damage, not dirt; it cannot be washed out |
| Mould, musty smell | medium | Surface mould goes; deep in the underlay of a fitted carpet it is a floor problem |
One difficult stain without cleaning the whole rug is handled by our stain removal service.
The fibre decides the water temperature, the agent and the drying time. Without a label we identify it by the pile and by a test on the edge.
| Rug | Method | Drying | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Polypropylene, polyester | hot-water extraction | 3–5 h | The most forgiving fibre, stains come out most easily |
| Polyamide (fitted carpets) | hot-water extraction | 4–6 h | Hard-wearing and tolerant of agents; traffic lanes need a second pass |
| Wool | extraction with lukewarm water, neutral pH | 6–12 h | Hot water and alkaline agents felt wool and yellow light colours |
| Shaggy, long pile | extraction with grooming | 8–12 h | The pile holds a lot of water, we recover it several times |
| Viscose, artificial silk | only after a test, often dry method | 8–12 h | Water yellows and stiffens the fibre, watermarks stay for good |
| Kilim, hand-woven rug | gentle extraction after a dye test | 6–12 h | Natural dyes can bleed; when there is a risk we advise against wet cleaning |
| Jute, sisal, seagrass | dry cleaning | 1 h | Water leaves brown marks and shrinkage; we do not use extraction |
| Fitted carpet on foam or felt | extraction with little water | 4–8 h | The underlay must not soak through, so we work as dry as possible |
Three routes Krakow clients choose. Cost and time are for a 200×300 cm rug, that is 6 m².
| CleanAI at your home | Carpet plant with pick-up | Hired extraction vacuum | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | 6 × 15 zł for synthetic, 6 × 19 zł for wool | usually 25–45 zł per m² plus transport | 60–120 zł per day plus 30–50 zł for the agent |
| Time without the rug | a few hours of drying | 5–10 days | a day, because home machines recover less water |
| Fitted carpet glued to the floor | yes, cleaned in place | no | yes, but with a risk of soaking the underlay |
| Effect on stains | everything, or an honest word about what stays | good, the rug is washed in a bath | good on fresh, weak on old |
| Dust mites, allergens, smell | removed with the water | removed | partly |
| Risk to the rug | fibre and dye test, pressure matched | wool shrinkage at the wrong temperature | watermarks, felted wool, furniture stains |
| Guarantee | free re-clean | depends on the plant | none |
Carpet and rug makers recommend extraction cleaning every 12 to 18 months in a home without pets and every 6 to 12 months where a dog or cat lives. A rug in a child's room, where a toddler spends half the day, is worth cleaning every six months, because dust and mites collect precisely in the pile at floor level. Office and corridor carpet walked on by dozens of people a day needs cleaning twice a year; otherwise the traffic lanes set and never come out.
Outside that rhythm there are moments when cleaning makes sense right away: a fresh wine or coffee stain, a pet accident, recovery from an illness, a baby starting to crawl, moving into a flat with carpet left by the previous tenant, a rug bought second-hand, handing back a rented flat, preparing a short-let apartment between guests, and spring, after a whole winter of salt and sand carried in on shoes.
There is no point cleaning a rug whose pile is worn to the backing, whose underlay is crumbling, or a fitted carpet in a damp room without ventilation, because it will dry too slowly and start to smell musty. Jute, sisal and viscose we treat dry only. In such cases we say so during the confirmation call, not after arriving.
We clean carpets across the whole of Krakow with travel included: from Nowa Huta and Bieńczyce to Bronowice and Zwierzyniec, from Prądnik Biały to Swoszowice. Most of our rugs are in Podgórze, Krowodrza, Dębniki and Ruczaj, where families with small children and dogs live in the new estates. In the tenement houses of the Old Town and Kazimierz we meet old wool rugs and kilims, where the dye test and lukewarm water matter; in houses in Zielonki, Wieliczka and Skawina we more often clean fitted carpet upstairs and runners on the stairs.
Fitted carpet cleaning in Krakow also covers business premises: offices, clinics, law firms, shops and hotels. Office carpet is easiest to clean on a Saturday or Sunday (8:00–16:00), so it is dry by Monday. A company pays from the same price list, and we issue an invoice with its NIP on request. For regular cooperation or several premises we will prepare an offer — write to us through the cooperation form. On large areas we work in pairs.
We combine rug cleaning with other services in one visit: sofa and armchair cleaning, mattress cleaning, cleaning a flat after a tenant, or ozone treatment when a whole room needs to lose the smell of smoke or animals. One crew and one journey cost less than three contractors on three different days, and the rug and sofa dry at the same time.
Cleaning a wool rug starts with checking the dye holds: a damp white cloth pressed to the edge for a minute tells us everything. Wool gets lukewarm water and a pH-neutral agent, because hot water and alkaline detergent felt the fibre and yellow light colours. It dries longer, with a window ajar, and no furniture goes on it until morning. Kilims and hand-woven rugs with natural dyes get an even gentler version, and when there is a risk of bleeding we honestly suggest dry cleaning.
Fitted carpet glued to the floor is a different case from a rug: it cannot be turned over or carried out, and underneath is foam or felt that must not soak through. So we work with less water, recover moisture several times and keep an eye on ventilation. Traffic lanes by doors and under desks get a pre-spray and a second pass, because dirt pressed into the pile by shoes does not come out first time. We move light furniture ourselves; heavy wardrobes and shelving stay where they are.
The hallway runner and the doormat are the dirtiest textiles in a home: sand, road salt, mud and wet shoes all winter. We clean them on both sides and leave them draped over a chair so air reaches the underside. A children's rug or bathroom mat is added to the visit for a few dozen złoty when we are coming for the big rug anyway. Fringes are cleaned with a separate brush and a whitening agent, as an add-on from the price list, because they are the most delicate and labour-intensive part of a rug.
Answers to the questions we hear most often before the first visit.
It depends on the fibre: a synthetic rug is 15 zł per m², wool 19 zł, shaggy 21 zł, fitted carpet 15 zł (over 50 m² 13 zł), a kilim or hand-woven rug 35 zł. A 160×230 cm rug is 3.7 m², a 200×300 cm rug is 6 m². The minimum order is 120 zł; a smaller mat is best added to a sofa clean. Travel within Krakow and agents are included; fringes are charged separately as an add-on.
